Students will look at recent developments and topics in the world of science. From gene discoveries to space travel, pharmaceutical breakthroughs to robotics, the amount of gained scientific knowledge each year is astounding. With in-class discussions, videos, experiments, and lectures, students will gain an understanding of where science is today. This class is for tweens and teens. Those teens wanting a more in-depth class should choose Recent Science for ages 13+ on Wednesdays.
Participants should be able to sit for 45 minutes and participate in class discussions. There will be an end-of-semester project.
