Level up your role-playing skills in our 'Tween D&D' class, designed for experienced adventurers aged 10 and up. This class builds on foundational Dungeons & Dragons concepts to explore more complex campaigns and enhance strategic thinking. Students will delve deeper into character development, advanced game mechanics, and intricate storytelling. Participants should have prior D&D experience, as the class will involve more sophisticated scenarios and require a good grasp of game rules and character roles. Emphasis on collaboration, critical thinking, and creativity is key, as students will face challenges that demand teamwork and clever problem-solving.
All necessary D&D dice will be provided for each session, though students are welcome to bring their own sets for a personal touch. We provide generic figurines for gameplay. Additionally, students can choose to have a new figurine designed specifically for their character. They may paint this figurine themselves to enhance their creative experience, or, for a fee of $20, have it professionally painted to bring their character to vivid life.Join this special D&D adventure for tweens.
No materials are required for this class except for the boundless power of imagination and the ability to focus without causing significant disruptions. While not mandatory, having a tablet or laptop with an account on dndbeyond.com can be advantageous. For students whose parents prefer they avoid using devices, I will provide printed versions of character sheets and other necessary resources.
During the initial session, we will create characters for students who are new to my campaigns. For those who have previously participated, they will have the opportunity to continue playing with their existing characters, delving deeper into their established storylines.
To fully engage in the class, students should possess foundational skills in reading, writing, and basic math. They should be able to remain seated and attentive throughout the class period, actively listening and collaborating with their peers. The ability to work together as a team and actively practice effective communication skills will be essential components of our gameplay.
Join us as history and fantasy intertwine, allowing young adventurers to ignite their imagination, sharpen their skills, and forge unforgettable tales of bravery and magic.
