Event Overview:
The World Fair invites students of all ages to engage in a hands-on, global learning experience. Each student will select a country, research its culture, history, geography, and traditions, and create a presentation to showcase their findings. This event allows for an exciting, interactive environment where families and students can come together to explore the world around them. There is a sheet by the front desk for students to sign up for a country. Multiples of the same country is ok, but let's try to get as many countries as we can!
Schedule:
9:00 AM – 10:00 AM: Setup – Students will have the opportunity to set up their presentations, displays, and activities at their designated tables.
10:00 AM – 12:00 PM: The World Fair – The fair opens to attendees! Students will present their research in creative ways, such as visual displays, demonstrations, and interactive activities, allowing visitors to learn about the country they’ve researched.
12:00 PM – 1:00 PM: Lunch & Socializing – After the fair, students and families are encouraged to bring a lunch and stay to mingle, share their favorite parts of the fair, and continue exploring global cultures in a relaxed, social setting.
Presentation Ideas:
Cultural Displays: Posters, artifacts, flags, and images that showcase the country's traditions.
Food Sampling: Students may offer small samples of traditional dishes from their country.
